Terms of Service

Short version: Use PingPaste lawfully, don't abuse the service, and understand that encrypted data auto-deletes in 10 minutes. We provide the service as-is with no guarantees.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using PingPaste at pingpaste.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

PingPaste provides a free, browser-based encrypted text and link transfer service. Text is encrypted in your browser using AES-256-GCM before transmission. Encrypted payloads are stored temporarily and deleted automatically after 10 minutes or upon first retrieval. The service is provided free of charge and may display advertisements in the future.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use PingPaste only for lawful purposes. You must not use this service to transmit:

  • Content that is illegal under applicable law
  • Malware, viruses, or any malicious code
  • Content that violates the intellectual property rights of others
  • Spam or unsolicited communications
  • Content that harasses, threatens, or abuses others
  • Personal data of others without their consent

4. No Account Required

PingPaste does not require registration. You do not need to create an account to use the service. As a result, we have no way to identify or contact individual users, and you have no persistent profile with us.

5. Data Handling & Ephemeral Storage

All encrypted payloads are stored in volatile memory with a maximum TTL of 600 seconds (10 minutes). Upon expiry or retrieval, data is permanently and irrecoverably deleted.

⚠ Important: Once a code is used or expires, the data is gone permanently. There is no recovery option. Do not use PingPaste as a primary storage mechanism.

6. Service Availability

We aim to keep PingPaste available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

PingPaste is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service is free of errors, secure, or suitable for any particular purpose. Use the service at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PingPaste and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including loss of data, loss of revenue, or security breaches resulting from your own actions.

9. Intellectual Property

The PingPaste name, logo, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of PingPaste. Unauthorised copying, redistribution, or republishing of this service is prohibited.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of PingPaste after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
